Hearing tests involve the measurement of a person’s sensitivity to a range of different sounds. Hearing assessment in this manner is a valuable tool in not only the diagnosis of different types of hearing loss, but can also be an indicator to other neural problems.
A typical hearing test involves a subjective response to the presence of a sound which is presented through headphones under appropriate test conditions and usually takes between 15 and 30 minutes depending on the findings.
